How's My Experience With The Course So Far?

I loved that it was self-paced, included audio and pdfs to follow, the questions were direct, and answers were set up in a way that wasn't trying to trick or confuse.

Easy to access and content has been rich.

The course content was easy to access once I remembered my username and password. So far, the content has been rich. Some of the information is a refresher for me but I appreciate the focus on walking in the biblical knowledge we have obtained. I love the focus of attempting to help the client develop a closer relationship with God.

Grief and Trauma

Grief and trauma are emotional responses to loss, pain, or distressing experiences. Grief often follows the death of a loved one or the loss of something deeply important, while trauma can result from events that overwhelm a person's ability to cope — such as abuse, violence, accidents, or even abandonment. From my understanding: Grief is a process, not a single emotion. It comes in waves — sadness, anger, denial, guilt — and healing takes time. Trauma affects the brain and body. It can leave a person feeling unsafe, disconnected, or emotionally numb, even long after the event is over

The application a slow to respond but other than that the content is great.

Preparation for my calling

The counselling course is giving the mindset to begin my calling journey. I have not decided whether to focus on Christian Counselling or Christian Social Work, but I will indeed work with the community.
