Evaluation Some parts of the course have been deeply affirming — especially those that normalize professional fatigue in emotionally intensive roles. The reflective tools, like Gibbs' model and the structured self-care plans, gave me clear steps instead of vague suggestions. However, I’ve noticed that old habits — like letting client needs override my boundaries — still creep in. That’s something I want to keep working on. 4. I've also realized that I can't wait for "extra time" to do this work — I need to schedule it like it's sacred. 5. Conclusion I need systems that keep me accountable — not perfection. Even small acts of learning, like reading one article or listening to a podcast while walking, are enough to nourish me and prevent burnout. I also learned that structured reflection helps me catch emotional fatigue before it grows. 6. Action Plan Weekly: Block out one hour for professional reading or podcast listening (Tues mornings or Thurs evenings). Monthly: Journal using Gibbs' cycle after any challenging sessions. Quarterly: Reassess professional development goals and identify any new needs. Immediate: Reach out to 2-3 trusted peers to explore starting a virtual consultation group.
