Grounded, Transformative, and Deeply Ethical Grief Education
This course has been a powerful and affirming experience. It offers a comprehensive, trauma-informed understanding of grief that goes far beyond surface-level models or rigid timelines. The material thoughtfully integrates theory, cultural humility, nervous system awareness, ethics, and practitioner self-reflection, making it both academically strong and deeply human. What I appreciate most is how the course honors grief as multidimensional emotional, physical, spiritual, relational while emphasizing ethical boundaries, self-awareness, and sustainability for practitioners. The concepts of meaning reconstruction, continuing bonds, engaged neutrality, and practitioner presence have been especially impactful and immediately applicable to real-world grief support. This course does not rush healing or promote “fixing” grief. Instead, it teaches how to hold space responsibly, compassionately, and authentically. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking to support grief in a way that is respectful, culturally responsive, and ethically grounded.
