For centuries, households grew and gathered their own medicine, sowing herbs in spring, foraging from the hedgerows, and turning each season’s harvest into remedies that carried them through the whole year. That knowledge never disappeared. It is simply waiting to be reclaimed.
This is a course about self-sufficiency: growing, foraging, and harvesting your own herbs, and running a working apothecary of your own. It follows the whole journey, from seed and soil to a fully stocked, year-round dispensary.
There is a growing desire to return to more natural, hands-on ways of caring for ourselves, our clients, and our community, to know exactly where our medicine comes from, how it was grown, and what goes into every jar.
