The course has been comprehensive, so far. I was apprehensive mainly due to the low cost of the program. I didn't know what to expect! But, I've been pleasantly surprised. I have a masters in Psychology and a couple decades of experience in counseling. I am not licensed in Texas though I am a licensed pastor, so I was looking for a means to become credentialed in Christian Counseling. I chose this course mainly because it was affordable, even if it had not been discounted. As the man said after falling off of the skyscraper on his way down..."So far so good!"
Thus far I have enjoyed learning all the different aspects of counseling, Learning how both Christian principles and psychology can work together for clients to bring help and change in their lives. Also, understanding how as the counselor there are things I must continue to do to grow myself. Journaling and having a mentor are important for my reflection and growth.
I truly enjoyed the course and feel prepared to coach individuals seeking guidance in managing their finances. I am sincerely grateful to the College for the opportunity to pursue my studies and earn my certification.
This class was very informative, and I gained a lot more knowledge concerning Christian counseling than I had previously along with practical application.
