I had taken other courses on art therapy but this one really got in to the nitty gritty of the human brain!
It works for what I need. I have an MFA so I overthought and made mistakes for easy questions. But, it is a good place.
found this course to be exceptionally well designed, informative, and practical. As a children's author, illustrator, and educator, I have been teaching illustration and creative writing for several years. Throughout the course, I was pleased to see that many of the principles presented reinforced the methods I have been using in my own educational programs. I primarily work with children through my program, Through the Eyes of a Child, where I teach young artists to study the techniques of famous painters and recreate their masterpieces through their own unique vision and imagination. This process encourages creativity, confidence, emotional expression, and critical thinking while helping children discover their own artistic voice. This course expanded my understanding of the therapeutic value of art and provided valuable insights into the psychological foundations behind creative expression. It strengthened my confidence that art is not only a powerful educational tool but also an effective way to promote emotional well-being, communication, and personal growth. I would highly recommend this course to educators, therapists, artists, and anyone interested in using creativity as a meaningful way to support others. It offers an excellent balance of theory and practical activities that can be applied immediately in real-life settings.
