Some thought provoking content along with some "woo woo" content

I've been practicing equine therapy for a few years now, and took this course for the certificate. Some of the content is very relevant and helpful for session design and client interactions. The way the course described designing session arcs to slowly build difficulty was helpful. The module on eco-spiritual practices was a bit too much for me, and the spiritual discussions in the course are almost exclusively centered around nature spirituality. The course excludes any kind of ridden work, and does not contain any practical activities. It is all principle-based and big picture.

The course had very thorough materials and explained some of the deeper aspects of horse intuitiveness that are not immediately apparent. All considerations for a safe and helpful experience were taken into account.

This was an excellent course. It provided a clearer way to envision working with clients and horses that resonates with my personality. I was pleased that there was no pressure to have to have a required spirituality which honored "other's experiences" which was part of the course!!!! Thank you for that. As a retired mental health therapist who worked with a great many trauma survivors, I would add a requirement for any clients that I have and that is they would need to be seeing some type of mental health therapist so that clients are not left alone with any triggers or trauma memories from the equine sessions, even after emotional regulation is present at the end of any sessions due to delayed response. A great course. I enjoyed it a lot.
