The content of the course was varied and interesting
The lack of different ways of learning eg videos, different ways to test learning was dissapointing
As a neurodivergent student to follow the content I had to make copious notes
While informative, it could have been presented in a much more engaging way. just a pdf to read or listen to as an audio book is completely boring and made it difficult to stay engaged and foccused. Maybe try making engaging slides and have an actual person create educational videos.
Very basic compared to the others I've done on here
Great info, unpopular opinion from me is that there wasn't anywhere near enough compared to other courses on the platform and there were no exercises or activities with each module.
This course is written entirely by AI, and thus suffers from all of AI's typical shortcomings when attempting to teach something complex and nuanced. It consists entirely of ChatGPT-style bullet points and does not offer in-depth critical analysis of any topic. Topics that invite in-depth exploration, such as cultural implications and common comorbidities in relation to ADHD, are glossed over and generalized, and basic information is repeated ad nauseam. Each chapter or module is incredibly repetitive and poorly organized. You would find more value in looking up the research studies and journals mentioned in the text, but they are all cited incorrectly, so even this is difficult. I would not recommend this course unless you have a decent amount of background education and other resources available to you to further your development as an ADHD coach. If you are starting from zero, I would not recommend this course.
I only give this course two stars because it was easy to complete, simple to navigate, and was offered to me at a discounted price.
I can not see how this course can be applied in practical life
Though i finished another course on positive pshychology and was absolutely thilled with it, this one is very academic and i do not understand so far how this can be used and when. More like repetition of the school program.
There was lots of good content in this course including templates as well. It is clear the course is very knowledgeable. The actual delivery of the course was really poor - it was just really long handouts to read. Considering I do have ADHD, I thought it was ironic that the delivery method did not aid my ADHD whatsoever. Having different VAK learning preferences would have been more beneficial to meet the needs of not only myself but other candidates.
The process is extremely painful and could use some more thought on the end user points. The idea is good but from someone that completes a lot of additional learning and completes a lot of courses I have found this extremely tick and flick without the ability to transfer learnings from content to exam and it is purely designed for copy paste results to reduce markings and personal touch. I wish you luck moving forward but I doubt I would return in the future.
Some of the information given is inaccurate. The concept that lifestyle decisions, such as diet, exercise and sleep quality is amplified beyond reality. The idea that we can affect the DNA replication, expression, translation and post-translation modification of proteins simply by eating well and exercise is appealing but inaccurate
This is geared more toward therapy than coaching. Diagnosis and treatment of addiction, associated medications and hotlines....nothing related to neuro-coaching.
Just completed module 3 and as I am going through everything, I like the information but its not enough to actually work with clients. As an example, the case studies are great and I love how detailed they are with the back and forth and the processes. I hope one day I can be like that, but this course does not provide that kind of detail. Instead, I get word salad definitions that don't explain anything and often leave out key terms, definitions and "HOW TO" do what is in the case studies.
Honestly, I will continue the course because I paid for it, I am learning some things and brushing up on others I know. I believe I will have to take an advanced course in biohacking if I want to actually take on clients. I am glad I got to leave this review because I was probably about to take this to the forums and discuss with other students on direction from here.
The course is more science based rather than practical and how to truly apply it to customers. I am in the earlier lessons, so possibly it is building a foundation that will help with the day-to-day implementation.
Honestly, it's really hard to get through. It's very dry and very repetitive. It only has some specific advice and I have to weed through a lot to get through it. The quizzes are hard to predict and sometimes the questions are confusing.
I think it would be really nice if the written nformation was broken up more and included some lectures/ conversations and art demonstrations on video. It is very dry for such a creative topic, although I can see the modules are well written they could be the back up information rather than the only information.
