Overview
🧠Evidence-informed, neurodiversity-affirming coaching for coordination differences, built for real life, real systems, and real self-trust.
Dyspraxia (also known as Developmental Coordination Disorder / DCD) affects far more than “clumsiness.” It can influence motor planning, sensory processing, executive functioning, social participation, confidence, and energy, often in ways that are invisible to others but exhausting to live with. Dyspraxia Support Coach trains you to support clients through a holistic, non-medical coaching lens, focusing on function, dignity, and practical adaptation rather than pathologizing or “fixing” the person.
This course is grounded in empirical evidence and evidence-aligned frameworks (ecological systems approaches, biopsychosocial models, task-and-environment adaptation, executive function supports, and trauma-informed practice) and translated into coach-usable tools. It includes a full audio version of the course for accessibility and flexible learning, plus extensive case studies and practical exercises that build confident, scope-safe coaching skills.
🧭 Who this course is for
Designed for practitioners supporting dyspraxic clients in a non-clinical coaching role, including:
Neurodiversity-affirming coaches and holistic practitioners
Executive function, learning, and life-skills coaches
Youth practitioners and parent/family support professionals
Workplace support, disability/accessibility, and advocacy-oriented practitioners
Coaches who collaborate alongside OT/physio/clinical teams (without diagnosing or treating)
💡The transformation you’ll help create
By the end, you’ll be able to help clients:
Reduce friction in daily tasks through smart task design + environmental supports
Build body trust and movement confidence without shame-based performance pressure
Create sensory routines and spaces that support regulation, focus, and autonomy
Communicate needs and advocate for accommodations without masking or overexplaining
Navigate life transitions with adaptive plans that respect energy and identity
Strengthen self-compassion and resilience in a world that often misreads dyspraxia
🚀 Beyond Blame: Making Invisible Loads Visible in Dyspraxia
Dyspraxic people are often told, explicitly or subtly, that their challenges are personal failures: “lazy,” “careless,” “not trying,” “too sensitive.” Coaching changes the story by making the real drivers visible: planning load, sensory load, environmental mismatch, and nervous system strain, and then building practical supports that improve daily life.
🌟 Dyspraxia Support Coach is designed to be:
Empirically grounded and evidence-aligned, without overclaiming or drifting into clinical treatment
Deeply practical, with tools clients can use immediately (maps, scripts, routines, task plans)
Case-study rich, so you learn how to decide and adapt in real scenarios across ages and contexts
Exercise-forward, with repeatable coaching labs, roleplays, and implementation templates
Accessible, including a full audio version for flexible learning and varied processing styles
If you want to support dyspraxic clients with dignity, clarity, and real-world change, while staying firmly within an ethical, non-clinical scope, this course gives you the framework and the practical craft to do it well.

Modules
Course syllabus
You’ll learn dyspraxia/DCD as a coordination difference within the neurodiversity paradigm, centered on lived experience and function rather than deficit language. You’ll explore historical shifts in understanding, key concepts (proprioception, interoception, executive function), and integrated models such as biopsychosocial-spiritual and ecological systems frameworks. Practical exercises include strengths-based reframing practice, metaphor-based explanations, and scope-safe boundaries for coaching vs. clinical care.
Practical exercises you’ll use: friction maps, energy curves, strengths spotting, and scope + referral scripts.
This module turns theory into real-world clarity: how dyspraxia can show up in fine/gross motor tasks, planning, time management, learning confidence, and social participation. You’ll learn to interpret avoidance and “inconsistency” as information about load and capacity, not motivation or character. Case-based work helps you build support plans for everyday friction points (mornings, cooking, school demands, social situations, workplace tasks).
Practical exercises you’ll use: task micro-stepping, “minimum/standard/extra” task versions, and Goal–Plan–Do–Check coaching.
You’ll build a trauma-aware intake process that creates safety, agency, and shared language from the first session. Coaches learn observational methods for movement/energy/sensory patterns that stay within coaching scope, plus strengths mapping approaches that make competence visible. You’ll learn to co-create functional goals, track micro-wins, and recalibrate plans without shame when growth is nonlinear.
Practical exercises you’ll use: strength trees, weekly green/amber/red energy tracking, and a 5-minute celebration + recalibration ritual.
This somatic module focuses on restoring body trust, improving body awareness, and adapting movement tasks, without prescriptive exercise programming. You’ll learn tools like descriptive (not judgmental) movement language, breath–movement coupling, and the M.A.T.C.H. approach (Modify, Adapt, Task-simplify, Choose alternatives, Hand out supports). Case studies and practice labs help you design movement supports that prioritize autonomy, safety, and meaningful participation.
Practical exercises you’ll use: body scans, “Notice → Name → Need → Next step” loops, and real-life task adaptation plans (dressing, cooking, writing/typing).
You’ll learn to map sensory patterns across systems (visual, tactile, vestibular, proprioceptive, auditory, oral) and translate them into practical routines and environment changes. Coaches build individualized sensory profiles, sensory toolkits, and “smallest effective change” environmental redesigns, at home, school, or work. You’ll also learn client-centered advocacy framing so sensory needs can be communicated clearly and respectfully.
Practical exercises you’ll use: sensory audits, sensory zoning plans, portable sensory kits, and nature-based regulation routines.
This module equips you to coach communication as a flexible toolkit, visual supports, written options, tech supports (speech-to-text, AAC where appropriate), and pacing structures that reduce load. You’ll teach boundary-setting, disclosure planning, and accommodation requests in ways that protect dignity and reduce masking. You’ll also learn family communication “language swaps” that replace labels with observations and choices.
Practical exercises you’ll use: role-play labs, under-15-word boundary scripts, disclosure scripts, and accommodation request templates.
Dyspraxia is often accompanied by internalized ableism, comparison fatigue, and shame from years of being misunderstood. You’ll learn narrative coaching tools (externalization, re-authoring), emotional check-ins, self-compassion and “inner critic” work, and values-based “toward moves” that respect energy limits. The emphasis is on identity integration: building neurodivergent pride and resilience without bypassing real difficulty.
Practical exercises you’ll use: externalizing names for patterns (“The Jumble”), 30-second resets after mistakes, and small resilience rituals anchored to daily habits.
You’ll learn how dyspraxia support evolves across life stages, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, aging, and how transitions amplify coordination, executive, and identity load. Coaches build transition plans that include environment fit, pacing strategies, and preparation rituals. Case work includes school transitions, workplace accommodation planning, independent living routines, and late-diagnosis integration.
Practical exercises you’ll use: one-page transition plans, gradual exposure plans for new environments, and “demand vs. capacity” job-fit mapping.
This module strengthens professional foundations: role clarity, confidentiality, documentation, informed consent (including supported decision-making), and boundaries between coaching and therapy. You’ll learn to recognize nervous system triggers and respond with grounding and pacing adjustments, prioritizing safety over speed. You’ll also build sustainable supervision/reflection practices that keep your work ethical, culturally responsive, and resilient.
Practical exercises you’ll use: coaching agreements, difficult-conversation frameworks, grounding protocols, and reflection templates for scope + ethics.
You’ll bring everything together into a practice model that is accessible to dyspraxic clients and sustainable for you. This module covers low-friction onboarding systems, session structures that support executive function, outcome tracking that is functional and client-led, and neurodiversity-affirming marketing. You’ll design offers, service formats, and pricing models aligned with rest-informed sustainability and ethical claims.
Practical exercises you’ll use: service design worksheets, friction-point audits for your client journey, low-effort feedback systems, and a rest-informed practice calendar.

That really depends on how many pages you go through per day or week, and of course, on your previous experience. The course is completely online and self-paced, so there are no deadlines. Once you’ve purchased the course, you’ll have lifetime access to all the material. It’s made up of several modules, some are lighter, while others a bit heavier. For most students, completing the entire course takes around 40 hours.
Yes, absolutely. The student forum is available for this purpose, you can post your questions and either a mentor or another student will get back to you, usually within 48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays). And feel free to share your wins too!

Make sure you're using the same email address you used when signing up and that you're on the correct website. If needed, click “Forgot Password?” on the login page and follow the steps to reset it. If the email doesn't arrive, double-check your spam folder and try again. Still having trouble? You’ll get access to course modules as downloadable PDFs, audio files, and in some cases, videos. You study independently in your own time, and if you have any questions, you’re always welcome to ask them in the forum.
You’ll find short quizzes at the end of each module to help you reflect on what you’ve learned, they’re NOT graded and are just for your own understanding. At the end of the course, there’s a final multiple-choice exam that is graded. You’ll need to score at least 80% to pass. Don’t worry, if you do not achieve 80% your first time, you can retake the exam at any time.
There are no prerequisites or minimum educational requirements. All our courses are carefully designed to be accessible to as many people as possible. You can study from a computer, tablet, or smartphone. If your internet connection is unstable, we recommend downloading the PDF modules and audio files so you can access them offline whenever it suits you. You will receive a printed certificate if you selected that option during registration. Otherwise, you can order it later at any time from your student portal under the "Certificates" section – OR download it for free as a PDF.
