When I was listening about family and youth, my mind went back to my past. My father and mother are both deaf and mute. I have one younger brother and one younger sister. When I was about 13 years old, my parents separated, but they never got divorced. When I was just 6 months old, my grandmother (my father’s mother) adopted me and took me to Nuwara Eliya. From a young age, I always longed for my mother’s love. Even now, at the age of 48, she still doesn’t show love to me. I have three children, and I love them very much. My husband often tells me that I always used to say, “I don’t have anyone,” but God gave me a very blessed family. I understand deeply how important a family is in God's eyes. My testimony is a long one, because I have suffered a lot in my life. That is why I am so interested in learning about psychology. I want to help others who are going through struggles like I did—and lead them to God.

Easy to follow, Biblical based, thorough instruction

This course helped me to understand the basics of counseling with a Biblical approach. I am so eager to learn more and to apply my new understandings to my practice. The lessons are well organized, easy to understand and are so relevant. I have enjoyed studying these modules and it has strengthened my own walk with Christ.
