This course is a good basic overview of somatic coaching. If you want to be more specialised you can go into one of the many somatic options. I feel confident adding this to my Life Coaching practice and helping my clients with their chronic stress and pain.
As with all courses, the more you put in with doing the exercises and homework the more confident you can feel applying this into your coaching practice.
I appreciated the clear structure, the step-by-step enrollment process, and the many scripts and examples provided. The course helped me better understand how to attract prospects, build trust, handle objections, and convert consultations into paying clients with more confidence and integrity.
As an introduction to skills and potential, it's not bad. The course was in text only, no images, videos or case examples. There was quite a lot of repetition. The risks and dangers of art therapy were not covered effectively, such as clients who abreact, clients who 'can't draw'. There was quite a lot of 'toxic positivity' enumerating the advantages of art therapy, a powerful but complex and challenging profession but with significant risks and dangers. Anyone completing this course and imagining they can provide art therapy would be severely deluded. The track record of discriminant personality change is not good: terms like 'improve your personality' 'my best qualities' are in danger of skating over the darker qualities in all of us.
